Qualcomm (QCOM.O) released a data center central processing unit (CPU) called Dragonfly C1000 on Wednesday and announced that Meta Platforms (META.O) will adopt this processor for mass production starting in 2028. Qualcomm stated that this new data center CPU is specifically designed for inference-based artificial intelligence, focusing on providing exceptional computing performance without consuming excessive power.
