Ministry of Commerce and 7 other departments: Launch special crackdown on the illegal recycling and dismantling of scrapped motor vehicles.

In order to further strengthen the supervision and management of the scrapped motor vehicle recycling industry, crack down on illegal dismantling activities, and promote the standardized and orderly development of the industry, in accordance with the "Regulations on the Management of Scrap Motor Vehicle Recycling" and relevant regulations, the Ministry of Commerce, the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, the Ministry of Transport, the State Administration for Market Regulation, and other departments have formulated the "Special Rectification Plan for Illegal Recycling and Dismantling of Scrap Motor Vehicles". It is now issued for implementation. The recycling of scrapped motor vehicles is an important means to improve the recycling system of waste and promote the development of the circular economy. It is of great significance in ensuring road traffic safety, protecting the ecological environment, and promoting the realization of carbon peak and carbon neutrality. In order to regulate the recycling and dismantling activities of scrapped motor vehicles, and lawfully crack down on illegal recycling and dismantling of scrapped motor vehicles, this plan is formulated for the implementation of the special rectification of illegal recycling and dismantling of scrapped motor vehicles.
