Masayoshi Son: "Building the world's largest data center"
On June 24, SoftBank Group Chairman Masayoshi Son was asked about data center investments at a shareholder meeting. Son revealed that he was in the process of signing a memorandum of understanding with a client for a development plan in Ohio, USA, and explained that if the plan is finalized, "this one project alone will bring in huge profits." Regarding the power consumption of data centers, Son mentioned that his subsidiary SB Energy is advancing a data center project in Ohio, USA, where "a single facility will provide power equivalent to 10 nuclear power plants," making it "the largest data center in the world."
