Since June, the second-hand housing market in core cities has continued to show signs of recovery. The latest data from the Zhongfang Research Institute shows that from June 1st to 20th, 88,000 second-hand residential properties were sold in 20 key cities, an increase of 10.9% compared to the previous year. At the same time, during the Dragon Boat Festival holiday, core cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, and Shenzhen still maintain high levels of activity in the second-hand housing market. The number of listings in many cities continues to decline from previous highs, and the market supply and demand relationship shows marginal improvement. Lu Wenxi, a market analyst at Shanghai Zhongyuan Real Estate, said that during the Dragon Boat Festival holiday, 1,231 second-hand houses were sold in Shanghai, an 18.9% increase compared to the previous year. The second-hand housing market in Shenzhen also remains active. According to the Shenzhen Shell Research Institute, during the Dragon Boat Festival holiday, the number of second-hand house signings in Shell's cooperating stores in Shenzhen increased by 28% compared to the same period last year, reaching a new six-year high. Zhang Dawei, Chief Analyst at Zhongyuan Real Estate, said that in June, the number of second-hand housing contracts in Beijing is expected to continue to exceed 15,000, and market activity will remain at a relatively high level compared to the same period in recent years.
