On June 14, the Office of the National Flood Control and Drought Relief Headquarters, together with the Ministry of Emergency Management, organized a joint meeting with the Ministry of Natural Resources, the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, the Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of Water Resources, the China Meteorological Administration and other departments to analyze the recent development trend of rainfall and plan the flood control work in key areas. The National Flood Control and Drought Relief Headquarters maintained a Level IV emergency response for flood control in Zhejiang, Fujian, Jiangxi, Hunan, Guangdong, and Guangxi, and ended the Level IV emergency response for flood control in Guizhou. Two work teams continue to assist and guide the frontline work in Guangdong and Fujian. The meeting pointed out that in the next two days, heavy rainfall will continue in southern Jiangnan and southern China, with clear characteristics of night rain, large cumulative rainfall, strong local extremes, and high disaster risk. The flood control situation is severe and complex, and we must strengthen bottom-line thinking and extreme thinking, and solidly do well in the prevention and response work for heavy rainfall.
