It is planned to promote the high-quality development of regional intelligent shipping in phases over the next 5 years and build the Yangtze River Delta into a national leading area, demonstration area, and source of innovation for intelligent shipping. The telecommunications and maritime authorities of the three provinces and one city of the Yangtze River Delta introduced that Shanghai has built more than 2,300 5G base stations related to the sea, and the coverage rate of coastal 5G has significantly increased. A number of benchmark projects such as automated driving at Yangshan Port and the deployment of 5G + satellite Internet for domestically produced large cruise ships have been implemented.
