Hangzhou crayfish prices drop by more than 50%
As June approaches, the supply of crayfish in Qianjiang, Hubei, is gradually decreasing. CCTV financial reporters found during their visits that the crayfish in Hangzhou market has completed a rotation of sources, with more crayfish locally produced in Jiangsu, Anhui, and Zhejiang, resulting in sufficient supply and a significant drop in prices. Many citizens are excited that crayfish has become more affordable. Currently, the wholesale price of medium-sized crayfish is 12 yuan per jin, while the large-sized crayfish is 16 yuan per jin. Compared to the prices in March and April when they were first on the market, prices have dropped by more than 50%. In addition, the expansive overseas market has opened up profit growth for crayfish. This year, the export volume and value of crayfish in various regions have both increased, with exports to Europe, America, and Southeast Asia on the rise.
