"2026 Global Human Rights Governance Forum" is opened in Beijing.

The "Global Human Rights Governance High-level Forum" opened this morning in Beijing and held a plenary session. The forum, which lasts for two days, has invited more than 400 guests from over 100 countries and international and regional organizations including the United Nations to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the adoption of the UN Declaration on the Right to Development. The forum will focus on the concept of "promoting human rights through development" to explore global human rights governance issues.
