The World Semiconductor Trade Statistics Organization, composed of major semiconductor manufacturers, released a forecast report on June 2. The report predicts that the global semiconductor market size will increase by nearly 90% in 2026 compared to 2025, reaching $1.511 trillion, equivalent to about 10.2 trillion yuan. It is expected to grow by 26.6% in 2027, further increasing the market size to $1.914 trillion, approximately 12.9 trillion yuan. In terms of product classification, the report predicts that the growth rate of storage chips will reach a staggering 249.5% year-on-year, breaking through the $800 billion mark and surpassing the overall semiconductor market size in 2025. The logic chip market is expected to grow by 37.3%, reaching $410 billion.
