AstraZeneca's quadruple therapy for liver cancer reduces the risk of disease progression or death by 30%.
AstraZeneca's durvalumab combined with tremelimumab, lenvatinib, and transcatheter arterial chemoembolization (TACE) showed positive results in the EMERALD-3 phase III clinical trial. In patients with unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma suitable for embolization, the STRIDE regimen combined with lenvatinib and TACE reduced the risk of disease progression or death by 30% compared to TACE alone, with a median progression-free survival of 13 months and an overall survival showing a positive trend. In terms of safety, in the STRIDE regimen combined with lenvatinib and TACE treatment group, 71.4% of patients experienced grade 3 or higher adverse events; in the STRIDE regimen combined with TACE treatment group, this proportion was 64%; and in the TACE alone treatment group, the proportion was 28.6%.
