Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area convenes a symposium on space computing power enterprises to research and deploy the construction work of the space computing power innovation center.

On June 1st, Wang Lei, Deputy Secretary of the Party Working Committee and Director of the Management Committee of Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area, chaired a roundtable meeting with space computing enterprises to solicit opinions and suggestions on building Beijing Yizhuang into a highland for space computing industry, and to discuss the deployment of the construction of a space computing innovation center. Entrepreneurs present unanimously expressed that space computing is a new track for the integrated development of commercial aerospace and digital economy, and has become a new frontier in global technological competition with significant strategic value and commercial prospects. The recent establishment of the Beijing Space Intelligence Research Institute in Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area is an important step in the high-level construction of the Beijing Space Computing Innovation Center, and a key move to translate the blueprint for the space computing industry into reality. Enterprises will actively participate in the construction of the research institute, leveraging their advantages in areas such as satellite manufacturing, computing chips, communication payloads, energy materials, software scheduling, and precision devices to collectively tackle key common technical challenges such as radiation-resistant chips for satellites, inter-satellite laser communication, and efficient thermal control and power supply. This will accelerate the on-orbit verification and large-scale networking of computing satellites, and build a complete innovation chain and industrial chain of "constellations + terminals + services," promoting the establishment of an independent and controllable, secure and trustworthy space computing technology and standard system. This will contribute wisdom and strength to the construction of a strong aerospace nation and a strong network nation in China.
