Meta company plans to launch a test operation for an artificial intelligence pendant next year. The development blueprint for this wearable device is ambitious, aiming to reverse the continuous massive losses in its hardware department. An internal planning memorandum shows that the company plans to significantly expand its line of smart AI glasses and launch a service project for enterprises called "office wearable devices." The memorandum was written by Alex Zimmer, vice president of Meta Wearable Devices. He said that part of the purpose of this strategic layout is to promote the popularity of the company's artificial intelligence models and related products, including application subscription services and the consumer-level intelligent assistant Hatch that the company is developing. The memorandum reveals that Meta has set aggressive goals: to sell 10 million wearable devices by the second half of this year through launching new products and expanding sales markets, and to strive to achieve 6.8 million monthly active users of wearable devices by the end of the year. Eyewear manufacturer Luxottica, which collaborated with Meta to launch smart glasses in February this year, said that sales of intelligent glasses have exceeded 7 million pairs by 2025.
