The Hungarian Parliament voted on the 27th to pass a bill to revoke the country's previous decision to withdraw from the International Criminal Court. In the vote that day, the bill received 133 votes in favor, 37 against, and 5 abstentions. The Hungarian government had announced in the Official Gazette on the 22nd that it would revoke the country's decision to withdraw from the International Criminal Court. The bill was submitted to Parliament by Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban on behalf of the government on the 26th. Orban stated that Hungary must continue to participate in the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court in order to maintain international peace and security, protect human rights, and hold those responsible for serious international crimes accountable.
