Sichuan Health Commission: Information such as online rumors of "childcare subsidies extended to 6 years old" is not true
On May 27, the Sichuan Provincial Health Commission issued a clarification regarding the spread of false information about Sichuan Province's childcare subsidy policy online: Recently, some individuals spread false information on platforms such as Douyin that "only some districts and counties in Sichuan Province are piloting an extension of childcare subsidies to age 6, with children needing household registration in the corresponding district or county, and subsidies will be gradually distributed starting from May 2026, ranging from 200 to 500 yuan per month, with additional subsidies for families with multiple children." This information is not true. The clarification of our province's childcare subsidy policy is as follows:
1. Regarding the recipients of the subsidy. The recipients of childcare subsidies in our province are infants and toddlers under 3 years old who have legally given birth, and the subsidies are provided until they reach the age of 3.
2. Regarding the subsidy standards. Except for the city of Panzhihua, the current subsidy standards for childcare in other cities and prefectures in our province follow the national basic standard, which is 3600 yuan per child per year.
