Chongqing's 12 districts and counties experienced heavy rain, with 9 out of 14 small and medium rivers and streams exceeding the warning levels.
According to the monitoring of the Chongqing Hydrological Bureau, from 8:00 on the 24th to 8:00 on the 25th, moderate to heavy rain was observed in some areas of central and northeastern Chongqing, with 12 counties experiencing torrential rain. The highest daily rainfall was recorded in Liangping District and Pingdushan Village of Linzhen, reaching 89.5 millimeters. Due to the rainfall, 9 out of 14 small and medium-sized rivers in Chongqing exceeded the warning level, with 5 exceeding the safety level. The rivers that exceeded the warning level included Heishuitan River in Liangjiang New Area, Heishuitan River tributary in Beibei District, Changyi Gou in Fuling District, Fenggao River in Rongchang District, Laixi River in Rongchang District, Qingjiang River in Rongchang District, Xiao'anxi River in Yongchuan District, Banqiao River in Yongchuan District, and Jiulong River in Yongchuan District. Among them, Heishuitan River in Liangjiang New Area, Laixi River in Rongchang District, Qingjiang River in Rongchang District, Xiao'anxi River in Yongchuan District, and Banqiao River in Yongchuan District exceeded the safety level. Currently, there are still 2 rivers and 3 stations where small and medium-sized rivers exceed the warning level, including the tributary of Laixi River in Rongchang District and Xiao'anxi River in Tongliang District which are still above the warning level. The other 54 small and medium-sized rivers such as Maliu River in Beibei District and Qingsheng River in Rongchang District experienced a flooding process of 1-6 meters, but the highest water level did not exceed the warning level.
