This year, the domestic sales of commercial vehicles decreased by 7% to 670,000 units in the first three months, but in April, the domestic sales of commercial vehicles reached 320,000 units, a year-on-year increase of 14% but a decrease of 7% compared to the previous month. From January to April 2026, the domestic sales of commercial vehicles reached 990,000 units, a year-on-year decrease of 1%. The high oil prices have a huge impact on passenger vehicles, but have little effect on commercial vehicles. In April 2026, the sales of new energy commercial vehicles surged to 110,000 units, a year-on-year increase of 58% and a 13% increase compared to March. The compulsory insurance for new energy commercial vehicles reached 290,000 units from January to April 2026, with a cumulative growth rate of 34%.
