France has launched a new round of subsidies to cope with rising fuel prices.

The French government announced on the 21st a new round of subsidy measures to alleviate the economic burden on the people and related industries caused by the rise in fuel prices. The total cost of the measures is estimated to be 7.1 billion euros. According to the plan, aid to the fishing and agriculture sectors will be extended by three months, the subsidy cap for low-income long-distance commuters will be increased from 50 euros to 100 euros, and the tax-free amount for companies to provide fuel subsidies to employees will be increased from 300 euros per year to 600 euros.
