The National Development and Reform Commission announced today that it will strengthen the construction of six networks including water networks, new energy grids, computing power networks, next-generation communication networks, urban underground pipe networks, and logistics networks. The Commission will urgently introduce relevant plans and implementation schemes, further coordinate the construction of the "six networks," and clarify investment priorities in various fields. Regarding the new energy grid, the National Development and Reform Commission stated that during the "13th Five-Year Plan" period, it is expected to invest over 5 trillion yuan. The plan includes the construction of a number of power transmission channels and inter-provincial power assistance projects, optimization of the ultra-high voltage AC network by layers and regions, implementation of urban power distribution network quality improvement projects, weak county-level power grid transformation projects, and governance projects to reduce frequent power outages in rural areas. In terms of underground pipe networks, the National Development and Reform Commission announced that during the "13th Five-Year Plan" period, it is estimated that about 5 trillion yuan will be invested to build and renovate gas, water supply and drainage, and heating pipe networks totaling about 770,000 kilometers. Efforts will be accelerated to fill in the weak links in the construction of urban underground pipe networks to enhance the safety and resilience of urban infrastructure.
