According to Berkshire Hathaway's first quarter holdings report (13F), Berkshire increased its holdings in Alphabet (GOOGL.O), The New York Times, and other stocks in the first quarter. The position in Alphabet increased from 2.04% to 5.93% with over 36 million additional shares. They completely divested from Amazon (AMZN.O), Visa (V.N), MasterCard (MA.N), UnitedHealth (UNH.N) and other stocks. They reduced their holdings in Chevron (CVX.N), Bank of America (BAC.N) and other stocks. They initiated a position in Delta Airlines (DAL.N) by purchasing 39.8 million shares worth approximately $2.65 billion. Overall, Berkshire's holdings in US stocks as of the first quarter is $26.3 billion, down from $27.4 billion in the previous quarter. They bought approximately $16 billion worth of stocks and sold approximately $24 billion worth, resulting in a net sale of approximately $8.15 billion. The number of holdings decreased from 42 to 29, with a significantly higher level of concentration.
