Former UK Deputy Prime Minister Angela Rayner was acquitted in a tax investigation.

A spokesperson for former UK Deputy Prime Minister Angela Rayner stated that the UK Customs and Excise Department has clarified that there was no deliberate violation of tax laws by Rayner. Rayner has paid back 40,000 in unpaid stamp duty; she has not paid any fines as a result of the investigation.
