A super tanker with ties to India, filled with liquefied petroleum gas, is attempting to cross the Strait of Hormuz. According to ship tracking data, the "Sahl Shakti" tanker, flying the flag of the Marshall Islands, is carrying approximately 45,000 tons of liquefied petroleum gas and sailed north past Iran's Larak Island and Qeshm Island on Saturday, entering the Gulf of Oman. This large liquefied gas carrier had previously traveled back and forth between Persian Gulf and Indian ports, broadcasting that it was heading to India and carrying Indian crew members. Since the start of the Iran war, this is a safety measure frequently taken by ships. A shipping document shows that the state-owned Indian Oil Corporation is listed as the buyer of this cargo.
