A car accident occurred in western Mexico, with at least 11 people dead.

The government of the Mexican state of Nayarit in western Mexico announced on May 1 that at least 11 people had died in a traffic accident that day. According to the announcement, a tourist bus overturned near the city of Amatln de Caas in Nayarit state that morning, killing 6 people on the spot, with 5 others dying in hospital, and at least 16 others were injured.
