The State Council Work Safety Committee deploys safety production inspections and visits during the "May Day" holiday.

In order to earnestly implement the important instructions and directives of General Secretary Xi Jinping and the decisions and arrangements of the Party Central Committee and the State Council, the Office of the State Council's Work Safety Committee recently made arrangements for safety production prevention during the May 1st holiday. They required all regions and relevant departments to strengthen safety production during the holiday period, resolutely prevent and control major accidents, effectively prevent large and major accidents involving risks, and effectively safeguard the safety of people's lives and property as well as social stability. The State Council's Work Safety Office will guide and coordinate relevant departments to dispatch work teams to conduct inspections and visits during the holiday period in key areas, key industries, and key enterprises. The Ministry of Culture and Tourism will conduct secret visits on safety precautions at tourist attractions, crowd control at popular tourist sites, safety management of travel agencies and tour guides, and rectification of "blacklisted" tourist attractions. The State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission will guide central enterprises' headquarters to conduct secret visits on the safety production situations of their subsidiaries in the fields of engineering construction, hazardous chemicals, construction sites, and production workshops. The National Fire and Rescue Bureau will organize secret visits on fire prevention at crowded places, while the State Administration of Work Safety will conduct secret visits on coal mines and non-coal mines. The Ministry of Emergency Management will focus on key industries and areas during holidays to conduct comprehensive secret visits. Through inspections and visits, all regions and relevant departments are urged to tighten their safety production responsibilities, promptly eliminate safety hazards, and ensure the national safety production situation during the holiday is stable and orderly. Typical cases discovered during inspections and visits will be handled according to the law, and accountability will be held. Each region will also organize targeted safety production inspections and visits based on their specific circumstances.
