Chinese AI that is "faster and cheaper" was chosen by American companies, American congressmen are not happy: investigate for me.

Two American technology companies using artificial intelligence software developed by Chinese companies in their actual business operations has directly ignited the nerves of a group of American lawmakers. On April 29th local time, John Mullin, chairman of the China Affairs Special Committee of the U.S. House of Representatives, and Andrew Gabarino, chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee, wrote to the CEOs of Airbnb and Anysphere, requesting them to provide relevant information to cooperate with the investigation into the so-called "espionage activities" of China by "using American innovation to accelerate its own AI capabilities". According to a copy of the letter posted on the committee's official website, American lawmakers requested disclosure of information including the extent to which Chinese AI models are used, tested or evaluated within the company, all communication records with Chinese AI suppliers, and the scale of customer data processed by these models. American lawmakers also seized on the public statements made by executives of the two companies.
