The French CAC 40 index dropped by 1.2%, with bank stocks declining and Credit Agricole falling by 4.7%. Stellantis fell by 7.4% after announcing its performance. The UK's FTSE 100 index remained flat as gains in oil giants offset losses in other sectors of the index. The Spanish IBEX 35 index opened with a drop of over 3%, dragged down by bank stocks, with Santander falling by 2.7%. The Italian FTSE MIB index fell by 1.2%.
