In order to regulate the online marketing activities of financial products, the People's Bank of China and eight other departments have recently issued the "Administrative Measures for the Online Marketing of Financial Products", which will be implemented from September 30, 2026. Regulatory authorities require financial institutions and third-party internet platforms to proactively accelerate the rectification and clearance of marketing content and behaviors that are inconsistent with the requirements of the "Measures" before September 30. The eight departments will perform their duties in accordance with the law, and coordinate to supervise and guide financial institutions and third-party internet platforms to implement the requirements of the "Measures" and investigate and deal with all types of illegal and irregular online marketing activities of financial products.
