The National Energy Administration releases national electricity statistics for January-March 2026.
On April 23rd, the National Energy Administration released the national electricity statistics for the first quarter of the year. By the end of March, the cumulative installed capacity of electricity generation in the country reached 3.96 billion kilowatts, an increase of 15.5% year-on-year. Among them, the installed capacity of solar power was 1.24 billion kilowatts, an increase of 31.3% year-on-year; the installed capacity of wind power was 0.66 billion kilowatts, an increase of 22.4% year-on-year. In the first quarter, the average utilization of electricity generation equipment in the country was 703 hours, a decrease of 66 hours compared to the same period last year.
