Our country fully participates in the international standard release of inspection agencies' compliant operations throughout the process.
Today, reporters learned that the international standard "Operational Requirements for Accredited Testing and Inspection Institutions" was officially released by the International Organization for Standardization. This update of the important standard in the field of quality technical foundation will further standardize the operation of inspection and testing institutions and enhance the credibility of inspection results. This standard is the core basis for the capacity building and business operation of inspection institutions, providing a unified operational framework for all types of inspection institutions, serving as a "compass" for the healthy development of the industry. Since its publication in 2012, the previous version of the standard has been widely used globally. China has always adhered to aligning with international standards, and has adopted the standard equivalent to it as the national standard GB/T 27020 for comprehensive application in inspection institution management. Up to now, China has more than 1200 accredited inspection institutions, covering key areas such as engineering construction, commodity inspection, network security, transportation, and public services. In this revision of the standard, China has been deeply involved throughout the entire process, based on China's inspection and testing practice experience, providing suggestions and contributions around key issues such as ensuring the effectiveness of inspection results, fully contributing Chinese solutions and wisdom, significantly enhancing China's international discourse power and influence in the field of accreditation assessment. The State Administration for Market Regulation has already initiated related work on transforming national standards, continuously improving the inspection and testing system.
