The country's first consumer goods old-for-new self-category subsidy policy landed in Jiangsu.

Reporters learned from the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Commerce that recently, Jiangsu Province has taken the lead in implementing a policy of subsidizing old-for-new consumer goods in the country. This policy is based on the industrial characteristics of Jiangsu and the actual needs of consumption upgrading, and includes smart home, artificial intelligence terminals, consumer medical products, etc. in the subsidy scope. The newly added subsidized products include: clothes dryers, dishwashers, range hoods, household gas stoves, water purifiers, smart toilets, robotic vacuum cleaners, digital cameras, smart robots with personalities, electric wheelchairs, and other 10 categories. The policy will be implemented from the date of announcement until December 31, 2026. In terms of subsidy standards, a subsidy of 15% of the final sales price of the product will be given, with a limit of 1 item per person per product category, and a subsidy of no more than 1500 yuan per item.
