Zhang Xue responds to second place in the Super Pole Race.
On April 18th, Zhang Xue posted a video saying, "Let me share with everyone why our #53 driver, Debise, only achieved a relatively good result in the last two laps. It's because our car has never raced on this track before, so we have no foundation. During the practice sessions, he had to come off the track twice. He would ride for about 10 minutes, come down, then make adjustments according to his thoughts; then ride for another 10 minutes, come down again, and make adjustments again; and then go back out. At this point, the adjustments might not be fully made yet. So he needed to come off the track twice during the qualifying sessions. Basically, in the last four to five minutes, the car might finally be adjusted to a better state, or it may not, it's all possible. And before the main race, there is still 10 minutes, which is essentially a warm-up session, so there's no more room to adjust the car, just to practice and fine-tune. Unless there are very obvious defects with the car, or a very clear direction to adjust, the driver and the team won't take too much risk to make adjustments during the warm-up session. And this is why we chose Debise, because he has a lot of experience in providing feedback on the car, he can accurately tell the mechanics which direction the car needs to go. Suspension, throttle, brakes, and all aspects need to be adjusted, including the gear ratios." Earlier on April 17th, in the World Superbike Championship Netherlands round, in the WorldSSP group, Chinese motorcycle manufacturer "Zhang Xue Motorbike" ranked second in the Superpole race.
