The mandatory national standard "Technical Requirements for Vehicle Door Handle Safety" will officially be released on February 2, 2026, and will gradually take effect for new models from January 2027 to January 2028, and for existing models (including facelifted models) from January 2029. The implementation time requirement for the "prohibition of hidden handles" in the new national standard is that all new models announced before December 31, 2027 can use hidden handles, and existing models or facelifted models produced before December 31, 2028 can also use hidden handles.
