The Eastern Theater Command conducts joint patrol exercises in the East China Sea waters.

Colonel Xu Chenghua, spokesperson of the Eastern Theater Command, stated that on April 18, the People's Liberation Army conducted joint combat patrols in the relevant sea and airspace of the East China Sea, as part of the annual plan to test the joint combat capabilities of the troops. The forces in the theater will regularly organize military actions as needed based on the security situation to safeguard national sovereignty, security, and regional peace and stability.
