In the first quarter, Shanghai's foreign trade achieved a strong start, with a year-on-year increase of 21.9%.

According to Shanghai Customs, in the first quarter, the total value of Shanghai's foreign trade imports and exports reached 1.23 trillion yuan, a significant increase of 21.9% year-on-year; at the same time, the monthly import and export volume in March rose to 431.04 billion yuan, achieving a strong start with "record highs" in both the quarter and the month. In terms of structure, exports were 537.37 billion yuan, up 16.3%, and imports were 690.03 billion yuan, up 26.6%, with both ends working together and showing balanced improvement. In terms of trends, import and export have increased year-on-year for 14 consecutive months, and exports have increased year-on-year for 18 consecutive months.
