Tropical cyclone "Meara" in Papua New Guinea has caused the death toll to rise to 23.

It is reported that a mudslide triggered by "Maira" destroyed a house in the Gazelle region of East New Britain Province of the country on the 12th, resulting in 10 deaths. Two people also died in Milne Bay Province.
