Etihad Airways of the United Arab Emirates is expanding its routes in China to enhance connectivity and mutual cooperation.
Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, announced on the 13th that it will add 5 new flight routes to China, involving 28 flights per week, further enhancing connectivity between the UAE and China. The new routes will connect Abu Dhabi with Shanghai, Guangzhou, Chengdu, Hangzhou, and Shenzhen in China. These routes will start operating in October of this year. Etihad Airways stated that this move will further promote bilateral trade, tourism, and investment, while also increasing the cargo capacity of key supply chain channels and strengthening Abu Dhabi's position as an important gateway connecting China with the Middle East, Africa, Europe, and North America markets. The Chairman of the Board of Directors, Mohamed Ali Shurafa, stated that this expansion of flight routes reflects the deepening cooperation between the UAE and China and will help promote mutual economic development. Etihad Airways was founded in 2003 and has a route network covering the Middle East, Europe, Asia, Africa, and North America.
