Liao Min attends the ASEAN Plus Three Finance and Central Bank Deputies' Video Conference.

On April 8, 2026, the annual first meeting of deputy ministers of finance and central bank officials of the ASEAN and China-Japan-South Korea financial cooperation mechanism was held via video. The meeting focused on global and regional macroeconomic situations, as well as key topics of cooperation between ASEAN and China-Japan-South Korea in finance and economics. Deputy Minister of Finance Liao Min attended the meeting and delivered a speech. Liao Min stated that the current regional economy is facing multiple challenges, and all parties in ASEAN, China, Japan, and South Korea should uphold multilateralism, strengthen communication and coordination of macroeconomic policies, deepen regional financial cooperation continuously, and maintain regional economic and financial stability. Liao Min pointed out that the "Fourteenth Five-Year Plan" was approved during the National "Two Sessions" in March, and China will continue to promote high-quality development and high-level opening-up during the "Fourteenth Five-Year" period, share the "Chinese opportunities" with other countries in the world, and promote regional development and prosperity. The Chinese economy started the year well, and China will continue to implement a more proactive fiscal policy, focusing on expanding domestic demand and investing in people, striving to achieve the expected growth target.
