Hubei Province Brain-Computer Interface Technology Innovation Center is approved to be established.

On April 8th, the Hubei Provincial Department of Science and Technology officially approved the joint establishment of the "Hubei Brain-Computer Interface Technology Innovation Center" led by Tongji Hospital affiliated to Huazhong University of Science and Technology, in collaboration with Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Hubei Optics Valley Laboratory, Optics Valley International Brain-Computer Interface Innovation Center, and 12 other units. Tang Zhuoping, the head of the center and secretary of the Tongji Hospital Party Committee, introduced that the center will focus on the technical bottlenecks in the field of brain-computer interface, and will focus on key directions such as neural signal decoding, localization of core components, and optimization of non-invasive/implantable technology routes.
