The electrolytic copper production in March basically met expectations, with an increase of 63,700 tons compared to February, reaching a historical high. In April, 8 smelters will undergo maintenance, with 3 continuing from March to April and 4 continuing from April to May. It is expected that the majority of the maintenance impact will be seen in May. Currently, a few smelters have reported difficulties in purchasing anode plates, causing production pressure due to relatively tight raw material supply. The production in April is expected to decrease by 33,000 tons compared to the previous month, with limited impact from maintenance reflected. Additionally, one smelter will start production in April, with production gradually increasing in the following months.
