According to the Hubei Province Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, many cities in Hubei such as Wuhan, Xiangyang, Yichang, Xianning, Xiaogan, Suizhou, and Shennongjia have recently implemented a series of measures to optimize the use of housing provident fund, focusing on lowering the loan threshold, increasing the loan amount, relaxing the withdrawal conditions, facilitating cross-regional processing, and supporting urban renewal. Wuhan has lifted the restriction on non-local borrowers with Wuhan household registration for housing loans, allowing all national employees who contribute to the fund to apply for housing provident fund loans in Wuhan; Yichang has abolished the requirement for proof of local social security or household registration for non-local property buyers; Xianning supports non-local employees to convert commercial loans to housing provident fund loans, further reducing the burden of home purchase. Xianning has raised the maximum loan amount to 700,000 yuan, and reduced the minimum down payment ratio for purchasing subsidized affordable housing to 15%; Xiaogan has also reduced the down payment ratio for purchasing subsidized affordable housing to 15%, increased the annual withdrawal limit for renting to 20,000 yuan, and allowed talents and families with multiple children to have an additional 50% withdrawal limit; Xiangyang has shortened the time interval for withdrawing housing provident funds to repay commercial housing loans from 12 months to 3 months, helping to ease the monthly repayment pressure.
