China UnionPay releases the open protocol framework for smart body payments.

On April 2nd, China UnionPay officially released the Intelligent Body Payment Open Protocol Framework, proposing the "UnionPay Solution" for intelligent body payment. According to the introduction, the APOP framework follows open interconnection standards, based on the UnionPay global acceptance network, to explore establishing industry-wide common standards and achieve cross-institution, cross-platform, cross-scenario, and domestic and international interconnection and interoperability. The first batch of 19 domestic and foreign institutions have become APOP partners, including commercial banks, intelligent body manufacturers, technology companies, merchants, and acquiring institutions.
