The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has approved the establishment of the Shenzhen National Internet Backbone Point. The national Internet backbone point is a core node for achieving interconnection and intercommunication of the Internet backbone network, and is an important communication hub for aggregating and forwarding traffic between networks. As of now, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has approved the establishment of 30 direct connection points, further optimizing the infrastructure layout of China's Internet interconnection, enhancing the overall communication performance and efficiency of the Internet, and driving the digital transformation and upgrading of local traditional industries. Next, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology will guide the Guangdong Provincial Communication Administration and basic telecommunications companies to carry out the construction and operation maintenance of the Shenzhen direct connection point, ensuring that the Shenzhen direct connection point is smoothly established and put into use, and supporting the high-quality development of the regional digital economy, providing strong support for building a strong Internet country and digital China.
