Our country has already built 17 special education schools for children with autism

On April 2nd, it was the 19th World Autism Awareness Day. According to the Ministry of Education, the Ministry will promote the implementation of the "Five-Year Plan for the Development and Enhancement of Special Education in the Fifteenth Five-Year Plan", focusing on the education of children with autism, improving the system and mechanisms for education and care services for children with autism, actively improving the effectiveness of education for children with autism, and ensuring that children with autism have a bright future like all children. Since 2014, the Ministry of Education has continuously implemented a plan to improve special education, including children with autism in the scope of special education, creating conditions to expand opportunities for children with autism to enroll in school. Each region strictly implements "one person, one case, categorization and placement", making efforts to ensure that children of appropriate age with autism receive education conveniently and nearby through special education schools, inclusive classrooms, home teaching, etc. As of now, 17 independent special education schools for children with autism have been established nationwide.
