Our scientific research team has revealed the phenomenon of salt weathering on Mars.

On March 31st, Sina Finance reported that the surface of Mars rocks is a key carrier for recording the interaction between the atmosphere and the surface, but the scientific community still lacks a full understanding of the formation mechanism of its surface texture. Recently, a research team composed of the National Space Science Center of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and other units identified the surface of Mars rocks based on the in-situ observation data of China's Zhu Rong rover, with parallel flaking, fragmented blocks that fit together, and densely distributed pits resembling salt weathering products on Earth. This research result was recently published in the academic journal "Science Bulletin."
