Liao Min attends the unveiling ceremony of the office of the Global Ecosystems and Transformation Center of the China-World Bank Group.

On March 23, 2026, the opening ceremony of the China-World Bank Group Global Ecosystems and Transition Center office was held at the World Bank's office in China. Vice Minister of Finance Liao Min attended the ceremony and delivered a speech. More than 50 representatives from the World Bank, Ministry of Natural Resources, Ministry of Water Resources, relevant international institutions, embassies in China, and domestic academia attended the event. Liao Min congratulated the official opening of the Global Center office and fully affirmed the achievements made in its operation over the past year. He pointed out that knowledge cooperation is an important part of the partnership between China and the World Bank. With China's rapid development, knowledge cooperation between the two sides has shifted from mainly "introducing in" to a balanced approach of "introducing in" and "going out", where China's development experience has become an important public product in driving international development efforts. Under the guidance of President Xi Jinping's "Two Mountains Theory" and his ecological civilization ideology, China has achieved coordinated progress in high-quality economic development and high-level environmental protection. China is willing to uphold the concept of a community with a shared future for mankind, support the Global Center in promoting the "Two Mountains Theory" as its core theme, conduct flagship activities and special research topics to vividly showcase China's green development practices, help other developing countries achieve green development transformation, set an example of South-South knowledge cooperation, and contribute to the World Bank's role as a "knowledge bank". Established jointly by the Ministry of Finance and the World Bank in December 2024, the Global Center is the latest exploration of cooperation between the two parties, aiming to share China's development concepts and experiences in the field of ecological protection, and promote knowledge exchange and mutual learning among countries.
