Report: Iran has approved seven Malaysian oil tankers to pass through the Strait of Hormuz.
According to reports citing Malaysian Foreign Minister Mohamed Hassan, Iran has approved seven Malaysian oil tankers to pass through the Strait of Hormuz. The report quoted the minister as saying that the oil tankers currently stranded in the strait belong to the Malaysian national oil company, the Malaysian International Shipping Corporation, and Sapura Energy. The report also stated that Hassan had a phone conversation with the Iranian Foreign Minister, followed by Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim speaking with Iranian President Mahmoud Peyzeshkiyan.
