The United Arab Emirates' Global Aluminum Company stated that its Tawila facility in Kezad suffered severe damage in missile and drone attacks from Iran. The company reported that several employees were lightly or moderately injured and will work to restore production operations as soon as possible, currently assessing the extent of the damage. The Tawila smelter produced 1.6 million tons of cast metal in 2025. The United Arab Emirates' Global Aluminum Company said that during the conflict, a considerable amount of metal inventory was located at sea, with some ground inventory stored at various overseas locations.
