Reporters learned from the parallel forum of the 2026 Zhongguancun Forum Annual Meeting held on the 26th that by the end of 2025, the number of frontline technology talents in the industrial sector in Beijing had reached 2.25 million. For every 10,000 employed people, there are 200 frontline technology personnel, providing skills talent support for the high-quality development of the capital and the construction of a high-level talent hub. Frontline engineers are the core talents leading industrial technological innovation in the industrial sector. The "White Paper on Frontline Technology Talents in the Capital" released at the forum shows that frontline technology talents are mainly composed of frontline engineers and high-skilled talents, accounting for 20% of the employed population in Beijing. With an average age of less than 40 years old, they form a complete and structurally reasonable team system of talents with outstanding engineers, national craftsman, and high-skilled personnel as typical groups.
