According to Semafor, JetBlue Airways is evaluating the possibility of selling itself to a competitor and has hired consultants to analyze the regulatory prospects of merging with United Airlines, Alaska Airlines, and Southwest Airlines. After its acquisition of Spirit Airlines was rejected on antitrust grounds in 2024, its stock price plummeted over 40% and the company fell into financial difficulties.
