According to CCTV News, on March 25, 2026, the Intermediate People's Court of Dalian City, Liaoning Province, publicly sentenced Tan Ruisong, the former Party Secretary and Chairman of China Aviation Industry Corporation, for corruption, bribery, insider trading, and leaking insider information. Tan Ruisong was sentenced to fifteen years in prison for corruption and fined RMB 5 million; sentenced to death with a two-year reprieve for bribery, deprived of political rights for life, and all personal property confiscated; sentenced to six years in prison for insider trading and leaking insider information, fined, with the death penalty decided to be executed after a two-year reprieve, deprived of political rights for life, and all personal property confiscated. The illegal gains from Tan Ruisong's corruption will be returned to the victims' units, the illegal gains and interest from bribery will be recovered according to law and turned over to the national treasury, and the proceeds from illegal insider trading will continue to be pursued. The court found that from July 2003 to 2010, Tan Ruisong, in his various roles at China Aviation Industry Corporation, illegally obtained a total of RMB 89.93 million in public funds; from 1998 to 2024, he illegally received assets worth over RMB 6.13 billion while serving in positions at various companies. Tan Ruisong, from March 2012 to March 2023, engaged in securities transactions related to insider information multiple times and leaked insider information on multiple occasions with severe consequences. The court concluded that Tan Ruisong's actions constituted corruption, bribery, insider trading, and leaking of insider information crimes. Due to his significant amounts of corruption and bribery, causing substantial losses to the country and the people, as well as the serious nature of his insider trading and information leaking, he was sentenced accordingly. Due to the fact that Tan Ruisong confessed to his crimes, cooperated with the authorities, returned all illegally obtained assets, and showed genuine remorse, he was given a reduced sentence for corruption and insider trading crimes, with a stay of execution for the bribery conviction.
