India makes preliminary determination on anti-dumping investigation into PET film from China

On March 21, the Indian Ministry of Commerce and Industry issued a notice affirming anti-dumping preliminary rulings on PET films originating from or imported from China, Bangladesh, and Thailand. It suggested imposing temporary anti-dumping duties on the products involved from the aforementioned countries, with rates of $56-216 per ton for China, $206-330 per ton for Bangladesh, and $139-245 per ton for Thailand. The details of the imposition can be found in the attached table. Meanwhile, due to the withdrawal application submitted by the applicant, the anti-dumping investigation on PET films originating from or imported from the United States has been terminated. The products involved are PET films with thicknesses ranging from 8 to 100 microns, excluding PET films used for solar panels and heat-sealed films. The Indian customs codes for the products involved are 39206210, 39206220, 39206290, 39206919, and 39219094.
